it's weird, i read this article...i had NO IDEA that we lived below the median income for the american household...we have everything we need and most of what we want...i'm not sure yet if this will be a blow for my self-esteem...
i've been reading "the roots of capitalism" by john chamberlain and "economic history of the american people" by e. l. bogart...exciting no...fascinating yes...
before the "crash" of 2008 america was the wealthiest nation in the history of the world...so, we are still the wealthiest nation in the history of the world...to whom much is given, much is required is a scarey principle in this context...considering we are ravenous consumers in a nation built on debt...i digress...study it for yourself...

according to this article the reason i cannot rise above the median income is because i wasn't born with a wider face...damn it!...just when i thought my genetic make-up couldn't have been any worse, i get this news...hopefully it is Wong...pun definitely intended...
enjoy the floyd and biggy...

Whose figures are you using? HUD shows 2011 Missouri families of four at approx. $48,000 (rural) to $65,000 (metro). The state average is around $60,000. The CBO figure includes "undeclared" compensation values such as a company health care plan which jacks the median to $94,000. I'm not even sure about the lower number because that would mean the median "wage" would be nearly $30/hr.
Sorry, the first link was left off but is now corrected...
