almost 15 years since the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and to my surprise, the amount of demonic worship and witchcraft among our youth has not increased...i am amazed...i thought for sure we would have a generation of witches slaying dragons and going to school at hogwarts...the traditional spelling bee's have not been replaced with magic "spelling" bee's...
spfd is the "buckle" of the so called "bible-belt"...so we have all dealt with our share of individuals that proclaimed the evils of harry potter...many of the same individuals somehow found disney movies to be subtle satanic tools...i never played bambi and snow white backwards while wearing 3-D glasses so my opinion is not yet formed...
books about good vs. evil...magic...life vs. death...maturation of a character...etc...truly original...we have never "scene" those themes before...tolkien, c.s. lewis, george macdonald...among others...those are noted because they were widely accepted among those opposing harry potter...
to write one book that millions of people have read and loved is a great accomplishment...so, to write 7 great books that also comprise an intelligent plot is a truly remarkable literary achievement...hats off to mrs rowling...now richer than the queen, whatever that means...pretty sure that is below God's net worth...anyways...
i have never seen the movies...hopefully in the short i will begin a movie marathon...i have heard they are good...
later from 3rd St.
