a long time coming

it's been a while...i heard blogging was uncool so i stopped...but i just heard it was cool, so here it is...

my grandma is 96...still lucid...remembers going to school in a buggy...the kind that is pulled by a horse...at 16 her parents sent her to live with the grandparents because they couldnt afford her...that was the Great Depression...hence all efforts to compare that to what we are going thru today should cease...anyway...i have told her of things like instant messaging, pc cameras, etc...she literally cannot believe it...she has seen some super UGE changes in her lifetime...and with a few more years it seems she will witness the disappearance of phone land lines by the thousands...the newspaper industry is collapsing...it is really amazing...

i have been reading some john lloyd stephens, john stoddard etc...these men just merely a century ago were making discoveries and traveling to places that had scarcely seen white men...

anyway...just some thoughts...or perhaps just some wonder...
