little rider got in trouble today...so after the punishment he was a little down and out...
about two days ago we heard a normal, but unusually loud "thud"...we have four big windows in the back that birds fly into all the time...so this bird had been laying out there dead on the deck for a few days...so today i figured with the snow melted and the ground soft it was time to bury the little guy...so i figured that little rider down and out would be the perfect candidate to help with the burial process...he was excited...so here is where it gets a little weird...
for some reason he wanted to cut the beak off...and any reason that i came up with he had a logical rebuttal as to why this option was okay...and because i felt bad that he had gotten into trouble i almost gave in...then i realized...i would be the one using the scissors...or the saw in the garage that he had suggested would work...anyway...i finally found a reason that this wasnt going to happen...that reason...it would gross me out...and that was okay with him...(side note: he wanted the beak to keep it in his pocket, perhaps great kid currency for trade or show and tell)...
i went to downstream baptist today...if anyone ever tells you skipping church doesnt pay...forward them to me...just kidding...i encourage everyone to attend church...i did however win my satellite tournament...this gets me into a qualifier, which if i place in the top 30% will get me into a tournament that pays out about $160,000...that would be a nice paday...anyway...my odds are like 400/1...so i havent spent the money just yet...
i will miss the mother-in-law...for many reasons...but mostly for the selfish reason that i enjoy dating my wife...dating and never having to worry about their well being...may she return soon...also her being here allows me to make a few trips downstream...
well off to a super bowl party...go steelers...one more and you will be better than the cowboys...
later from the homestead...
