the way i see it

first...if you have any magazine subscription cards...PLEASE hold them for me...i have a project that i am working on and need them...i will take as many as you can get...much appreciated...

i have said before i think overall bush was not a good president...also i said that he was not nearly as bad as the media made him out to be...freedom of speech is a much talked about american right...however there are limitations to how "free" you can speak...anyway...many times over the last 4 years i have cringed over some of the comments that were made about our president...we have become very loose-tongued with our disdain towards someone who should be honored etc...that goes without saying there is always room for careful criticism in politics...i say that to say this...i am glad we now have a president who starts with a clean slate and has a chance to build the morale of our whole country...i hope he does a great job and we have 4 years of "peace"...

on another note...i never imagined that a "black" man with a muslim name would be the president of the united states of america in my lifetime...perhaps i could have imagined in my later years...it seems that much prejudice has died off with our former generations...to God be the glory...it does make me admire men such as martin luther king who payed a large price to speak against the evils of prejudice...and by the way...i am still trying to figure out why he is our first black president instead of our 44th white president...i understand why it is important to blacks in regards to a racial "barrier" being crossed...but calling him black to me is the same as calling a swirl ice cream cone chocolate...who knows, maybe he does check the "african american" box on medical forms etc...i don't know what the little riders will do...i guess little rider will check hispanic and baby rider will check caucasion...anyway...

so that is where we are at...

later from 3rd St.
