my tica

the rider fam gets back late tomorrow night...they get into stl at about 10 and have to drive home...i guess for $249 plane tickets that is a fair trade off...

little rider has been going to preschool in costa rica...he has really enjoyed it...he has done very well with his spanish and met other little ticos and made amigos...

i discovered this picture in a book about costa rica when i was there...so i e-mailed the author etc. and he sent me a copy...

this girl is picking coffee beans in tres rios...just outside of the capital san jose...this is where my wife grew up...when they bought their house, their neighborhood was a few streets etc...now there are businesses - malls - houses everywhere...anyway...when they bought the house, it was right up next to a huge coffee bean plantation...as a girl, mrs rider would go out behind their house into the coffee fields and pick coffee beans...she told me how much she made...we are talking couch cushion type money...anyway...i fell in love with this picture...

it is weird to think we are the richest people in the history of the world...many people relate this to being a country founded upon God's Word...then their are others that think maybe someone else has blessed us with the riches...Ps. 10...anyway

we are about a month away from another big wedding in this fellowship of bloggers...uh, i am pretty pumped...

turn your bumps up...i have added 3 new songs...these are classic summer tunes...with hats backwards - shirts off...cruising in the jeep...lebaron...or the SL...these songs didnt make us cool...they displayed our coolness...ENJOY!

later from 3rd St.

I must offer my sincerest apologies for not ever having been in your store before. I LOVED it. I cannot wait to come back. It smells so good, like old books, which to me smells like an old friend. Familiar, and comforting. I am looking forward to being there again soooon.
