redeeming the forsaken

we are back in san jose...i am leaving tomorrow...

today we went to a chidren´s home...mrs rider helped teach etc at this ¨orphange¨ when she went to university of costa rica...right now the missionary has 20 kids of all ages...she still has a few kids that she had when i went for the first time 8 years ago...i always love going...

here is the deal...we have always sent or taken gift$ etc...but now they have a deal where you can sponsor a child...$40 a month...yah...$40...anyway...if you would like to sponsor just ask me for the info...

i do not give my $$$ to causes that i am not truly endeared to...you know my cynicism...that africa sally struthers stuff doesnt even register on my emotionmeter...but i have seen firsthand that this missionary is great with these kids...by age 7 they know about 500 memory verses...she uses these flashcards etc...she teaches them both english and spanish...she is a bit conservative...but better on the side of caution with love...anyway

i am also going to send a big box of books...maybe some other stuff...i know she would love more books...school supplies...clothes...soccer balls etc.

it is amazing to see 20 kids that would have had crappy lives...physically and more than likely spiritually, flourish and have good lives because someone was taking the unwanted and abused...
