it was a great weekend!
saturday night i left straight from bookland and went to kc...i was supposed to be accompanied by a good friend...i won't mention any names "nottirb ffej"...but for some reason "dneirflrig" which i cannot remember he chose not to go...so i flew solo...
sunday morning at kcbt is always great...mark trotter, senior pastor of first baptist of new philadelphia, ohio was a guest speaker...to hear the message http://www.kcbt.org/audio/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.kcbtmedia.org/media/kcbt.xml
sunday afternoon i went and bummed around kc buying books...a new ocean for an old pirate...
but i had to be back to a certain house for a card game @ 6:00...long story short...i represented SPFD and took home the booty...i guess books werent the only treasure this pirate found in kc...
after about 4 hours sleep i drove back to springtown...on the way back i recieved a call to make sure i was awake...just after hanging up with a donut in hand and chocolate milk on my mind...a turtle darted out in front of my car...okay...i'll fess up...a sudden move like trying to dodge the turtle could have meant dropping my donut or spilling my milk...so lets just say the vultures had turtle soup with their splattered armadillo...i did however see 6 more turtles on the road...i dont know why the south bound lane of 13 was such a popular turtle destination...but someone should tell them it is not a good idea...
leaving at 6:00 from kc on 4 hours sleep was well worth it...any rest that was needed from a short night was taken care of by lounging around on the boat...memorial day at the lake with 3 good friends...i am pretty sure that we are getting old...our idea of fun was laying around listening to music...everything from waylon jennings to milli vanilli...very little cruising...tying up to a tree in a cove is the new cruising...other than a couple of fishermen that saw 4 guys alone in a boat listening to wham, most everyone else that saw us figured we were straight...the water wasnt to bad...when we got out we rubbed ice all over our bodies to warm up...it was a great day!...
