been awhile

next wednesday will bring a much needed vacation...off to costa rica for 2 weeks...much napping and reading mixed with an occasional activity to pacify the rowdies...i have $50 burning a hole in my pocket that is ready to be spent on natural fruit drinks at the hot springs and beach...salivation salvation...

this winter we joined 2nd baptist to work in the college class...at my highest point of frustration with the "institutional" aspect of church and traditionalism taking preeminence from biblicalism we made a much needed change...(i always want to be in a place where i am wanted, perhaps needed, and i know when i am in a place where i am not)...anyways...the spiritual growth among the students has been amazing...i feel truly blessed to have been present while God has done some amazing things...at least 15 MSU students accepted Christ last year thru the ministry of 2nd, and have continued following Christ...i am very eager to see what happens next semester...my typers could actually continue to type of these things for hours due to the abundance of excitement in my soul...

this fall both of the little riders will be going to school...that realization blows my mind...time does fly...or so it seems...

here is a news-clipping i found in a book today:

OWNER FINDS THUMB - A Green River, Wyo., man who lost a thumb in a boating accident last summer has recovered it - from the stomach of a lake trout. Robert Lindsay is boating on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir south of Green River on July 27 when he dives in to help a friend who has fallen in the water. The boat's propeller cuts off his thumb, index and middle finger. The fingers are found and reattached. A fisherman finds the missing thumb in the stomach of a lake trout Feb.13...

well there is work to be done and grass to be mowed...later from 3rd St.
