abandoned & brusied

mrs rider is leaving me for christmas...she is sick and tired of my shenanigans and is flying to costa rica...and taking the boys...so if anyone would like to adopt me for the holidays i would love it...here are a few things i bring to the table:

mostly polite and friendly (if someone is a complete moron i might make a few snarky comments)...i will act pleasantly surprised at any gift or meal given to me...(however later among friends i might make fun of the meal or gift)...i will converse on any subject and act like i know what i am talking about (devil wears prada to hunting - i am the complete social package)...i will help do the dishes etc. (at least until i can find an excuse or sneak out of the responsibility)...i will take pictures so all members of the family will be included (you can photoshop me in later if you'd like)...i can pretty much guarantee that i will make your holidays better!...and if you'd like a continuous flow of christmas vacation quotes, i am your man!...uh, okay...

during our presidents speech last night on several occasions he mentioned that we have killed and will continue to kill terrorists (Taliban/Al Qaeda)...he also mentioned that he is going to close Guantanamo Bay because he believes torture is wrong...i think we could all agree that while there might have been a handful of innocent persons at the prison over the years, largely the people there already deserve to be dead anyway (or at least detained for you criminal huggers)...so our commander and chief believes it is okay to kill them but not torture them?...whether he really believes that or not we will never know because he would not say that torture is acceptable in some circumstances...however he could say nothing and let people draw their own conclusions...

by the way...this is just a single nugget out of the deep mine of political hypocrisy...i am making no broad political statement...i find the fact that our president can make these statements within seconds of each other in a national speech and no one calls him on it is incredible...anyways...

today i have a swollen and bruised nose...a red eye lid...a bruised shin...a strained quad and groin...and a bruised elbow...it appears that indoor soccer just bought a one way ticket out of my airport...now i have to find something to replace it...i always had an excuse not to exercise and to eat unhealthy..."oh yeah, well i play indoor soccer every weak!"...i guess now it will be, "oh yeah, well i searching craigslist for a bowflex"...anyways...
