anyway...today i had to go buy books for an hour...so when i got home we headed off to go rent a canoe at spfd lake...they stop renting at 3:00...so if you want to go...don't show up at 3:08...anyway...no big shake...we headed to the nixa park to play...good times...
tonight i made my less than semi-famous cheese dip...it was delicious...mrs rider said that i showed potential in the kitchen...you know what they say...dinner starts in the kitchen...or something like that...anyway...
every once in a while we ignore the inconvenience and possible mess and let the boys take a bath in the "big" tub with bubbles and the jets on...that is one of the cool thing about kids...you can manipulate them into thinking normal things are special by regulating the regularity...
i will try to keep this political comment short...traditionally a difference between donkeys and elephants is the "size" of gov't that they say should be, or is necessary...this can be seen during the great depression in the 1928 presidential campaign of herbert hoover...he stressed "individual" responsibility to deal with major problems the country was facing...while their is much good in that philosophy, the great depression and world war II proved that "individuals" needed gov't to help...and in the years to come presidents roosevelt and truman continued to "grow" gov't...i only write this because i have caught myself thinking and saying we need smaller gov't when in all actuality i don't have a clue how big or small our gov't should be...but i do know that we have some major issues (financial, health care, etc.) that as individuals we cannot regulate or fix...anyway...
thank you to hillen for his kind words...
later from typeville
