during the flooding last week, the spfd 911 received a call reporting a man was stuck in water and was neck high...so when the authorities showed up they evaluated the situation and began to form a plan of action...
communication with this man was very difficult...they thought this man might be a foreigner because they could not understand him...
they determined not to simply walk out since the water was already neck high, so they unloaded the jet-skis, hopped on and proceeded out to this man...the "pick up" was difficult so one of the fire and rescue guys jumped off his jet ski...when he landed he was only waste deep...for a moment they were puzzled...he reached down into the water and pulled out a midget...the reason they couldn't understand him was because he was from drunktown...
the fire & rescue guy loaded him onto the back of the jet-ski and they took off for the shore...when they got to the loading area...the driver let this man off the back of the jet-ski...but forgot that they had gotten on in waste high water...so back down into the water went the midget...then rescue #2 took place...
