the race: part 1

here is the deal...a while back i challenged the future mrs coacher to a race...i don't know why exactly...i guess i want to see if i can still get up and go...but here is the catch...it is a no win situation for me...if i win, well all i did was beat a girl...if i lose (which i WONT), well then, i got beat by a chick...anyway...i am out of shape in every way imaginable...and she has been training for this race for months now...back in the day i could consistently run a 4.8 40yd dash...and now and then i could run a 4.7...she ran track at mizzou...so perhaps this will be a good race...by good i mean she will be staring at my back whole race...i believe the distance of challenge is 60 yds...this will probably happen tomorrow afternoon at the ozark track...

also you will notice i have added a song to my playlist that will give me an added advantage...

dear jenny...good luck loser-to-be...

i have to go carbo-load...

later from 3rd St.

oh stephen, you think i have actually been worried enough to train for this race? no. don't worry though, i will try to wear a shirt with an inspirational message on the back for you.

(ps...i am a pretty good smack-talker. as for my running skills, i will probably get beat or hurt myself trying. i guess we shall see.)

60 yards? I believe the word is pansy.
I'll race anyone six miles. That's real man stuff.

Have fun at Disney. Rent a toddler stroller, seriously you'll thank me later.
