duty blog

this is a duty blog...hopefully it will not be a doody blog...it is not that nothing has been happening, nor has my dome been a center of non-activity...i just havent had a sense of urgency to blog about anything in particular...anyway...here we go...

3 weekends with fs...
this week end is the tool shower for fs...let me tell you...this is a great idea...mama fs did this for myself, the agent, and mr. notions the summer when we got married...i got stuff i really needed...garden hose, shop vac etc...i hear my wing man will be catering...uh yeah...hands down the best wings i have ever had...i hear the meat is not too shabby either...

next weekend is the bachelor party...nothing too wild, just a weekend at the lake with friends...ty to the wilsons for the lake house...MUCH APPRECIATED!

and the following weekend is the wedding!!!

not many times in life do you get the opportunity to make a great friend at 16 years old and remain close into old age...i love fs like a brother and am elated that he has been blessed with a great bride..

this summer also holds a great deal of traveling to book sales...which holds the opportunity for casino poker...by the way if i continue to do well, i will use the earnings to play in the WSOP...thats right, WSOP...not the main event, but i have toyed with playing a NL event...figure i could pay for it with winnings and play while i am running well...i might not ever get the chance again...

also i need to begin preparing for coachers wedding...maybe i'll just wing it...

mrs rider is leaving for costa rica in a few weeks...lasik eye surgery and the beach...i am jealous...i will stay here to fund both...but i am not angry, just bitter...

mowing season has started...this is about 3 hours of my week...shortly the pool will be open...add an hour or so...so to make the ride and work a bit more peaceful i invested a chunk-o-change in a MP3 and some bose around-ear head phones...perhaps this will make a loud mower more bearable...

i have been toying with the idea of a starting a second store in the big city...Springfield Book Co. has a nice ring...if you know anyone who might like to manage this store let me know...a good salary and a share of profits would be in line...i figure think bigger or quit...plus the idea of making more money is appealing...and maybe the blaine fam could go in and start a coffee and cup cake joint...who knows?

for all you moms and dads...disney world is a must for the little ones...you however will need something like a meditation and cocaine cocktail to get you thru the week...just kidding...cocaine is not the answer to stress...but a little mary jane will knock off the edge and i believe is justified for situations like disney world...okay maybe not...listening to some of the parenting skills at these parks was incredible...perhaps a little loser lettuce should be sold at disney for the sake of these kids...anyway...some of you parents might enjoy it...

well there is much work to be done...until next time

later from 3rd St.

I love the idea of the Springfield Book Co. I would work there when Emily starts kindergarden. I knew I would go back to work after she goes to school. The idea of working in a book shop seems so relaxed and peaceful. Plus I would love to do cupcakes for it too. Just let me know I know the perfect spot downtown. Jeff and I looked at it last fall its about two doors down from Marias. If you remodeled the upstairs you could rent it out as a loft which could offset some costs. Can you tell I have been thinking about this?

if it doesn't work out with natalie i know a certain english teacher who might not want to be an english teacher forever. just a thought. (i'm sure her cupcakes would bring in more customers than i would, so i will just come in and eat her cupcakes.)
