are you smart?

in 1983 harvard professor howard gardner wrote "Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences"...and since then many have taken this theory and have developed even further...for instance, thomas armstrong, has written books such as, "7 Kinds of Smart: Identifying and Developing Your Multiple Intelligences"...the seven intelligences that are referred to are:

1. Linguistic
2. Logical - Mathematical
3. Spatial
4. Bodily-Kinesthetic
5. Musical
6. Interpersonal
7. Intrapersonal

i do not believe this is a dogmatic list...however there are many good points in their findings...for example...look at this list...how many of these will you be rewarded for in our schools today...i would say most mechanics were not "successful" in school...therefore they were more than likely told they didnt meet a certain standard...but people that have the kind of skills that a mechanic must have are very gifted and intelligent...armstrong in particular has done much work to apply this theory to our everyday lives and even how we train and develop our children...i have enjoyed reading about this...you may also...
